This trough has literally rippled sides like limestone flats, worn into grooves with the passage of time and water I would have thought running through or over it.  What has happened is that this trough has the most wonderful feel to it.  Soft and flowing.  It would make a wonderful water trough or planted up also gorgeous.  In great condition and it does sit flatly on the ground - no ripples there.
